Cyclepath Bike Shop Expands to Northwest Portland with Second Location

Cyclepath owner Michael Jellinek partnered with Fat Tire Farm owner Park Chambers to save the iconic bike shop from closure.

The new partnership offers a wider selection of bikes and accessories, including mountain, gravel, and road bikes.

Fat Tire Farm was renowned for its laser focus on high-quality mountain bikes, but Jellinek plans to diversify the offerings.

The new location will stock a range of trail running shoes and gear to cater to the nearby Forest Park.

Jellinek plans to hire former Fat Tire Farm employees and post job listings for additional staff.

The west side of Portland has been flooded with new faces after the closure of West End Bikes and Fat Tire Farm.

The new Cyclepath West will offer a unique aesthetic, with custom fixtures and displays from industry partners.

Portland-based artist Dustin Klein has completed custom paintings in the shop, and a new mural is being created.

The new location is expected to open in two weeks, with updates to be shared on Cyclepath's Instagram account.

Jellinek is optimistic about the new location and believes it will meet the community's needs, despite economic challenges.
