Getting Started with the Junior Ranger Program
The Junior Ranger Program is a fun and interactive way for kids to learn about the outdoors and develop a love for nature. The program is designed for children aged 5-12 years old, and it’s a great way for them to get involved in conservation efforts and learn about the environment.
What to Expect
At the Junior Ranger Program event, kids can expect to participate in a variety of activities, including:
Earning Your Junior Ranger Badge
To become a Junior Ranger, kids need to earn six stickers, which they receive at the end of each event.
The program is designed to encourage residents to get outside and explore the natural beauty of our region, while also promoting environmental awareness and stewardship.
The Importance of Stewardship
Stewardship is the act of taking care of and protecting the natural resources that we have been given. In the context of the program, stewardship refers to the responsibility of residents to protect and preserve the natural beauty of our region.
